Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of surface material do you use?

We primarily install polyaspartic floor systems. They’re fast-curing, moisture-tolerant, and specifically suited for residential garages. Polyaspartic is resistant to UV discoloration, cures faster, handles moisture better, and is far more resistant to hot-tire pickup and peeling. Epoxy can work in controlled environments, but garages are not controlled environments.

Is this a full garage remodel?

No. This is a floor system installation only. We’re improving the surface you park and work on — not finishing the garage.

Can this be installed over cracked or stained concrete?

In many cases, yes. Minor cracks and surface damage can be repaired prior to coating. We evaluate the slab during your consultation.

How much does a polyaspartic garage floor cost?

Most professionally installed polyaspartic garage floors fall in the $1,500–$4,000 range, depending on:

• garage size

• concrete condition

• moisture levels

• number of coating layers and finish options

DIY kits are much cheaper, but they use different materials and don’t include mechanical prep or moisture mitigation — which is why results and lifespan vary so widely.

We provide a firm price after evaluating your slab in person.

Will this hold up to cars, hot tires, and daily use?

Yes. These systems are designed for vehicular traffic, hot tire pickup, and regular garage use when properly installed.

How is this different from DIY epoxy kits?

First, we mechanically grind the concrete to open the pores and ensure proper bonding. DIY kits rely on acid etching or no prep at all, which leads to peeling and failure.

DIY coatings are formulated to be:

- Slow curing

- Thin

- Easy to roll on

That makes them approachable by the average homeowner — but also more prone to peeling, hot-tire pickup, and wear. Professional polyaspartic systems cure quickly and chemically bond to the prepared concrete. These materials are not practical or forgiving enough for DIY application.

A professional garage floor involves:

• Different materials

• Different chemistry

• Different performance expectations

That’s why the results look and behave differently.
